CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE
2016 | M | Action, Comedy, Crime

After he reconnects with an awkward pal from high school through Facebook, a mild-mannered accountant is lured into the world of international espionage.

1) Did you like it?

Generally, yes.

2) Why?

Central Intelligence is likely a film you see more for the comedic value and how the two leads bounce against each other rather than anything else. The characters are well-cast and the jokes are timely, but the plot is utterly predictable, and I didn’t find the action all that thrilling.

Overall it’s an OK watch, but I probably liked the trailer better than the actual movie. :P

3) “You’d like this movie if…”

  • You like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. To be fair, they have great chemistry.
  • You don’t mind a mindless but otherwise forgettable buddy cop movie.

4) “This movie made me think about…”

Hmm. Not much, actually. Perhaps that I enjoyed seeing Dwayne Johnson in a comedic role and would like to see more of him.

5) Overall rating?

2.5-stars
