An amazingly written and well executed miniseries. It is impeccably accurate. Nothing prepares you for the visual horror than this piece of art. The totally immersive details, I thought after the initial shock of first episode the rest of the series would only dissipate in intensity but don’t trust your guts here, it only gets better!

The cinematography of this series blew my mind. The incredible visuals provided so much depth and detail. Whilst I wasn’t completely captured by the story, I appreciated that each episode had the production value of a feature film.

Masterfully created, the show builds a tangible atmospheric tension. The evenly balanced distribution of story lines is enhanced by the actors abilities and even further so by the wonderful direction and cinematography. At once both informative and gut-wrenching, Chernobyl lives up to the hazy aura that surrounds the name and attempts to clear the air – propped up heavily by the horrific reality that underpins it.

Other than Spidey’s annoying obsession with the girl, everything else is perfectly placed. Visual effects are just out of this world. At some points the story looks childish but as the climax approaches it turns the tables. A good watch indeed!

[What did you like about this film?] Kumail Nanjiani. He’s the only good thing about it. He’s hilarious. - Maya

You cannot go wrong with an hour and a half of Kumail Nanjiani! The story line is cliché and there isn’t much substance, but the dry, perfectly-timed humor is more than enough to keep you engaged.

The music was great and the concept was fun but the characters were ho-hum and the storyline was a bit clumsy

I didn’t expect this movie to live up to the hype, but I dare say that it surpassed it. The quality of the acting, writing and relevancy all came together in a wonderfully cohesive film. Although the film doesn’t necessarily ‘peak’, it does move along at a graceful speed, with just enough happening to save it from feeling slow. The film does a lot to give the audience a glimpse of what being an adolescent feels like in 2019. A vast difference from being a teenager in the early 2000s!

The two main characters were great and there were lots of lols. It was a perfect fast paced, feel good comedy.

While I could appreciate what was being attempted here, it didn’t quite come together as I’d hoped. It felt a little all over the place. However, it was a very enjoyable watch. I wish this film existed when I was a teenager!
